Kristin Cavallari has been happily sporting a large engagement ring from Jay Cutler for three months and planning to move to Chicago for her fiance, but plans have changed. Over the weekend, sources confirmed that the couple's three-month engagement was over, and now word has it the Chicago Bears quarterback was the one to call it off.
Apparently, Cutler was uncomfortable with Cavallari's partying ways and had a controlling streak. "Jay Cutler was beyond controlling and didn't really like Kristin to go out," a friend told People. "When she did go out, he called all the time and demanded to know exactly where she was going and who she was with."
The friend added that he gave her the choice between him and her friends. He couldn't stay patient anymore, though, and reportedly "dumped" her. "She got dumped," another source said. "She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening."
