We've always thought Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers line would be great for kids and babies. With its bright colors and anime-inspired characters, what 4-year-old wouldn't want it? Seems Gwen was thinking the same thing because she's teamed up with Target to launch a capsule collection for the pint-sized set.
Reports say the line is set to hit stores in November, then again in January. But it seems some of the products have already hit the sales floor. We spotted some of the collaboration backpacks and school supplies at a San Bruno, CA Target store, while similar pieces are available online. This is probably a sneak peek at the collection, aimed at the back-to-school set and intended to create buzz for the actual launch.
The full line will include clothes and accessories for babies, kids and tweens priced from $3.99 to $29.99. Gwen is looking forward to this new project and says: Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed. Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.
